Pass through the gates and a driveway lined with majestic plane trees leads you to the 18th-century building that is home to the clubhouse. The Invuardes course is pretty compact, the fairways wide and the greens large, though there are no shortage of obstacles around them. Despite Payerne’s undulations, the lies are never punishing, making it the kind of course you will want to come back to.
